About Hurtado Barbecue
Slow-smoked Central Texas style barbecue with a Tex Mex twist, from the Hurtado family in Arlington.
How it started
Brandon Hurtado and his wife Hannah started serving barbecue in 2018 at brewery pop-ups in Arlington, Denton and Fort Worth. In 2019 they moved to a food truck at Division Brewing in Arlington, open Saturdays for lunch, and within a few months demand made them add hours.
The first restaurant opened in February 2020 in Downtown Arlington, inside a 120-year-old former railroad station on Front Street. Fort Worth followed on the Southside in September 2022, and there is a Hurtado stand inside Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, at Arlington Eats in Section 101.
Today there are four Hurtado Barbecue restaurants: Arlington, Dallas, Fort Worth and Mansfield. Hours, menus and catering are on hurtadobbq.com.
The shop
The shop sends the same barbecue past Texas. It is smoked on our pits in Arlington, vacuum-sealed and packed cold, and ships every Wednesday. How that works, and what it costs, is on the shipping page.
